Howie Mandel gives a Golden Buzzer to Brent Street on ‘AGT’ [WATCH]

On June 25, “America’s Got Talent” season 19 continued with the fourth installment of audition episodes. In this initial stage of the competition, each judge is given two “golden buzzer” decisions to make where they can send an act straight through to the live shows. At the end of “Auditions 4,” a single performer came out to introduce themselves as a dancer, only to reveal mid-performance that he was joined by a larger dance group Brent Street. The surprise of their performance wowed Howie Mandel into using the first of his two Golden Buzzers. Watch the full performance in the video above.

It was one of the most interesting tricks an act has played on the judges when Brent Street member Zack introduced himself as a dancer from Australia that said he’d call his mom first thing if he advanced after his audition. To begin the performance the lights were dropped and then Zack was popping out of of a black sheet covering the stage, only to be joined shortly after by the hands of his peers and then more dancers as the sheet was torn away. From there, the large crew of dancers moved across the stage like a swarm of bees in a passionate and sometimes unruly display of harmonious movement.

In the judges’ commentary, Sofia Vergara told the group that watching dancers is one of her favorite parts of being on the show because she likes seeing “what humans can do with their bodies.” She said it was “for sure the coolest thing” she’s seen over the course of the day. Simon Cowell added that it was a “well thought out, original and creative” routine that must have “taken months and months to prepare.” When the mic turned to Howie, he had disappeared, echoing the trick the group played on the judges. Speaking of a place of disappearance below the dais, he said, “I thought everything you did was amazing. It was a surprise.” And then with the crowd chanting his name, Howie popped up and slammed his palm down on the Golden Buzzer to give the group of Australian dancers the ultimate prize.

As the next golden buzzer act of the season, Brent Street will skip the next cut and advance straight to the live shows. They join Argentinian dance group Legion who received Sofia’s Golden Buzzer in “Auditions 3,” singer Liv Warfield and drone artists Sky Elements who both received the Golden Buzzer from Simon over the course of “Auditions 2,” and comedian Learnmore Jonasi and singer Richard Goodall who were chosen for the honor by Terry Crews and Heidi Klum, respectively, during “Auditions 1.”
