Oregon awaits Supreme Court ruling of Grants Pass v. Johnson
PORTLAND, Ore. (PORTLAND TRIBUNE) -- For Oregonians awaiting two momentous rulings from the U.S. Supreme Court...well, as of Wednesday morning, they’re still waiting.
With only a week left in its session, the high court on Wednesday sided with President Biden, rejecting efforts by some to limit White House pressure on social media firms regarding the flagging of disinformation.

- City of Grants Pass v. Johnson: The case pits one Oregon town against service providers for homeless residents, who claim a Grants Pass anti-camping law violates the U.S. Constitution’s Eighth Amendment prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment.
During oral arguments in April, a conservative majority of the court seemed ready to side with Grants Pass.
