ALISON Hammond is loved by millions for her cheeky sense of humour, hilarious showbiz interviews and infectious laugh.
But it’s the 49-year-old’s dramatic transformation that’s really started stealing the limelight.
Showcasing her weight loss, she wowed in skinny jeans, a white blouse and a cropped jacket while hosting ITVs This Morning recently, adding an air of glamour to her once laid back look.
And her wardrobe isn’t the only part of her appearance which has had a total overhaul – there’s 5 other tricks she’s used to transform her image.

Curves in all the right places
Celebrity stylist Amanda Wakeley explains that while the TV presenter may be best known for her bubbly personality and vibrant presence, her choice in outfits is catching attention.
“In the past, Alison would often opt for a more comfortable relaxed fit,” she says.
“She’d frequently favouring loose-fitting tops, casual jeans and bright, colourful patterns – not forgetting her signature leopard print pieces.
“Her laid-back style reflected her fun, carefree, happy and down-to-earth persona.”
But Amanda says the mum of one is now embracing a “more polished and sophisticated look.”
And according to Amanda, she’s done this by gravitating to more tailored pieces that accentuate her figure, incorporating “sleek silhouettes and modern designs” into her wardrobe.
She adds: “We’ve seen her experiment more with bold block colours, statement prints, and elegant textures, adding a touch of glamour to her once-laid-back ensemble.”
Personal stylist Jennifer Jones agrees that The Great British Bake Off presenter, who recently went public with her new boyfriend David Putman, 26, is also following her curves in all the right ways with the styles she’s wearing.
“Alison tends to opt for open necklines, which are perfect for softening her bust,” the fashion whizz says.
“She also nips herself in at the waist, which is perfect for her body shape.”
Oozing confidence and charisma
Another notable change in Alison’s appearance is her decision to lose her glasses on camera.
It’s a move which Amanda says draws attention to Alison’s “brilliantly expressive facial expressions.”

Sleek locks and warm tones
The fan-favourite presenter has also showed off her dramatic hair transformation in recent months.
Hairstylist Gina Conway, who has worked with the likes of Geri Halliwell, Tess Daly and Sienna Miller, says Alison made the right choice when she swapped her short straight bob for longer locks.
“This length allows for the creation of smooth, glossy waves which looks really glamorous and groomed,” she adds.
She says Alison’s signature dark chocolate locks with pieces of subtle caramel balayage is a “classic style” which looks “rich and yummy on her.”
And for anyone looking to following in the TV presenter’s footsteps, Gina’s advice, as a professional colourist, is to keep a contrast in your hair colour so it’s not too similar to your skin tone.
“Multi tonal highlights and lowlights create a balanced look and make the eyes and smile really pop,” she explains.
“It’s also important to remember when undergoing a colour makeover to keep up the moisture treatments.

Behind-the-scenes glam
When it comes to makeup, Alison Hammond is all about the glam.
But if you’ve always wondered what products she uses to achieve those fluttery lashes or glossy lips, then you’re in luck…because makeup artist Mikey Phillips has revealed some of her beauty secrets.
In a clip shared to TikTok, Alison offered her social media followers a sneak peak at her behind-the-scenes glam regime as the makeup whizz got her ready for the day ahead.
Amongst her go-to beauty products is a £14.40 lip gloss from Rihanna‘s Fenty range which is sold on the high street in Boots.

The bargain buy, which features a non-sticky formula and includes hydrating Shea butter, claims to “make lips look instantly fuller and smoother.”

How did Alison Hammond shoot into the spotlight?
ALISON Hammond has managed to make a big name for herself.
Thanks to her stand-out personality, she has gone on to carve out an incredible career for herself, which includes being a host on Bake Off.
Alison is now best known for hosting This Morning on a Friday along with Dermot O’Leary.
She rocketed into the spotlight after appearing on the third series of Big Brother in 2002.
The show became a launchpad for her career as she began working as a presenter on This Morning the same year.
Alison joined the ITV show This Morning in 2003.
She began as their showbiz reporter, interviewing numerous celebrities.
The roving entertainment reporter is best known for causing chaos with her bonkers ad-libbing and lack of rule playing.
Her celebrity interviews and show appearances have even gone viral with various pranks and hysterical moments.
Alison entered the I’m A Celebrity jungle in 2010, and became the fourth contestant to leave the show.
She also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2014, and was partnered with Aljaz Skorjanec.
Alison also took part in Sugar Free Farm, which saw seven celebs ditch the sweet stuff and take to the fields to farm their own healthy food – and the entire process reduced Alison to tears.
The TV star also made her Hollywood debut in 2018, in the animated film, Hotel Transylvania 3.
She has appeared on the reality show Celebs Go Dating as well as the celebrity edition of The Great British Bake Off in 2020.
In 2021, she starred as a judge on the BBC competition I Can See Your Voice, and was also a guest on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Love-hate relationship with exercise
Last month, Alison revealed she was flogging her size-26 wardrobe after her impressive weight loss, with all proceeds being donated to The British Liver Trust.
She revealed she was selling items ranging from size 32 down to size 14 and other pieces at XXXL to XL, with £3 being the cheapest and £230 the priciest.
In 2022, the This Morning star, who weighed 20 stone at her heaviest, told how she’d cut sugar out of her diet in a bid to shed the pounds.
Explaining how she started to lose weight after her beloved mother sadly died in 2020 on Lorraine Kelly’s podcast, Alison said: “Sometimes I look at myself and go, ‘Wow, I am a big girl’. But I like taking up a bit of space.
“I take a little bit of extra space in the world and I don’t think I’m hurting anyone.”
She continued: “We’re all going to die eventually. I might die a little bit sooner, but I’m going to live my life to the fullest.
“And if I do die sooner, I’m going to have a fantastic life. I’m going to have a wonderful life. I’m 47 now, I don’t know how long I’m going to go on for.”
The TV host admitted she’s tried several diets and exercise in the past, along with gastric band surgery, which didn’t work.
“I laugh about it and make jokes about it but it’s getting serious now. I am over 20 stone, it’s not funny any more,” she said.

“I’ve done diets before. I’ve even had surgery and that’s not worked.”
Speaking about having a gastric band fitted, she revealed: “It’s actually quite a difficult thing. It just didn’t work for me.
“I didn’t like the feeling of it. You still feel hungry but you can’t eat.”
Alison added: “My relationship with exercise is a little bit of a love-hate. I love doing it when I’m doing it – I have so much fun.
“But to get to go and do it, I hate that bit because I literally can’t do it.”
