Jameela Jamil Takes Wimbledon 2024 Wearing Classic White Slingback Block Heels in London
Jameela Jamil attended day one of the 2024 Wimbledon Tennis Championships held in London on July 1. The British thespian was joined in the stands by her boyfriend, musician James Blake.
For the sporty occasion, the “Love at First Sight” star donned a pair of classic white slingback heels. The sophisticated and simple style was comprised of stark white leather uppers with a slightly glossy sheen, elongated square toes, sturdy 1 to 2-inch block heels, thin straps that were situated around Jamil’s heels and buckle closures for an adjustable touch.
Wimbledon dressing is all about elevated basics and classic silhouettes. Jamil’s look is a prime example of this notion, given her look is mainly comprised of closet staples cast in sophisticated hues and simplistic silhouettes that can work well alone or paired together.
In that same vein, slingback styles are exceedingly popular. The style is beloved by many and is often worn all year round, meaning there is no weather-related constraint to wearing a good slingback shoe given it encompasses the entire foot beyond the heel. Jamil wore the same style to Wimbledon back in 2023.
In a similarly classic move, the “Poker Face” actress wore a deep blue dress in an A-line style with white accents. The Reformation dress, which Jamil explained in her Instagram stories was a rewear from her show, “The Good Place,” featured a dainty bow fixed to the bodice, offering the garment a girly touch. Rounding out her ensemble, Jamil wore dainty jewelry and whimsical black sunglasses fixed with sculptural frames.
The 2024 Wimbledon Championships started on July 1 and will conclude on July 14. The event is one of the biggest tennis competitions of the year and will feature appearances from big names like David Beckham, Poppy Delevingne, Jessica Alba, Princess Olympia, James Blake and Pink Pantheress, among many others. Last year, Carlos Alcaraz took home his first Wimbledon title on the men’s side, while Marketa Vondrousova won on the women’s side, securing her first Grand Slam victory.
