A music insider said: “Adele has been working on what to do in Munich since April.
“She wants to converse with the crowd in German.
“And rather than serving up a line here and there, she has been preparing full sentences.
“She wants to make the audiences feel at home and show she has made a respectful effort. But English fans shouldn’t worry.
“She will be talking about her life and telling funny stories in her native tongue.”
Adele, 36, will perform the first show at the open-air Munich Messe on August 2, with nine further dates at the venue throughout the month.
Organisers say the star will play to 80,000 fans a night.
But with ticket prices as high as £431 — and VIP packages costing more than £600 — the shows have yet to sell out.
Announcing the residency in January, Adele said: “I haven’t played in Europe since 2016.
“I couldn’t think of a more wonderful way to spend my summer and end this beautiful phase of my life with shows closer to home. Guten tag, babes.”
