FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Wednesday Evening,
We have a line of rain and storms building to our west this afternoon into this evening, and will move through most of the Columbus metro during the evening to near sunset time. After that, the boundary will continue to slow and sag south and east. This will keep clouds and humidity around, with the rain southeast of town. Overnight, another cluster of non-severe showers and maybe a few rumbles will approach and fade as it arrives near daybreak.
Temps will start again in the lower 70s on Thursday, and it does appear there is a window for morning 4th Parades to go on before more rain and storms develop and move in during the afternoon hours on Thursday. Because of the timing of this rain, expect temps to top near normal in the middle 80s.
Friday, the boundary will continue to lift north, but we will be stuck in a very very moist, and rather cloudy pattern, with showers and storms popping again, and eventually a line moving through with a cold front by Friday night. Highs on Friday will stay in the mid to upper 80s.
Saturday, expect clearing skies, with high temps very comfortable in the lower 80s. Sunday will be a beautiful day as well with sunshine, and highs in the upper 80s. Mostly sunny skies will continue to start next work week, as the high that gave us great weather on Sunday will push east. This will allow for some clouds, and more humidity, with highs near 90.
A chance of rain and storms will return for Tuesday with highs in the middle 80s. Once this system moves on, temps will remain near normal, with plenty of sunshine on Wednesday and highs in the middle to upper 80s.
