McTominay enjoyed his best goal-scoring campaign last term, bagging ten goals and three assists across all competitions.
Fulham are bracing themselves for the departure of Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich. They could target McTominay as his replacement for the holding midfielder position.
Man United should keep hold of McTominay
The 27-year-old has played a pivotal role under Erik ten Hag. His goals helped United to amass crucial points last season.
Ten Hag used him in several roles – defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder and centre-forward. The Dutchman would ideally like to keep hold of McTominay due to his unique profile in the squad.
He may lack the consistent flair to secure a starting spot every game but his reliability makes him an invaluable asset to summon from the bench when the situation demands.
McTominay currently earns £60,000-per-week and his current deal expires next summer. They need to offer him revised terms.
He offers physicality and a constant goal-scoring threat, all while being on relatively low wages.
In the current inflated market, it would be tough for the Red Devils to find a player with his attributes and cost-effectiveness.
West Ham offered £30 million for McTominay last summer, but United rejected their bid.
Transfermarkt rates him at £27m, but United would demand much more to even consider his sale.
