Setting up the NYS Fourth of July fireworks show
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- For many people, the July 4 firework show is the highlight of the night. A lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes to make the show happen.
Crews from Santore's Fireworks in Schaghticoke started setting up on Wednesday and continued getting ready throughout the day on Thursday. The company is putting together more than 100 shows around the Northeast.
They said all the time and effort is worth it.
"Well, as always, it's the best show in the area," manager John Flanagan said. "It's going to be huge. We always try to add different things each year."
"It's gonna be the biggest of the best, and you guys will be definitely impressed," general manager Jeff Ward said.
This year, fireworks will be sent up directly from the large pool in the middle of Empire State Plaza.
