Sideways surfwise
Hello Friends,
As expected, Friday morning saw SSE wind from the get-go and SE swell at sea in the 2.4 metre range. Sadly, the period was a shade under 9 seconds, so the protected corners weren’t going to see anything like a 2.4 metre wave face. And what is getting into spots like Dee Why point is for the most part pretty junky, lumpy and weak stuff in the waist high range – on sets. So, not completely unsurfable if you absolutely must get in the water, but close enough to insure you won’t be battling crowds.
As for the surf week ahead, I’m looking forward to seeing what the Goat thinks. My quick take is that we could see slightly improved conditions early next week with mostly smallish (waist to chest) waves and rainy weather, but light winds for the early.
Go well everyone and have a great Friday.
