Kelly Brook flogs investment bag for four times its original price despite gross detail that’d put any normal seller off
KELLY Brook has left people repulsed after revealing a gross detail about a designer bag she flogged online.
The model and actress turned DJ admitted during her weekend radio show that she’d made the decision to sell the “investment” bag, which she’d splashed out on during a different time in her life.
“Many years ago, I was way more into fashion and designer labels when I was younger – I think that’s a given,” Kelly said during her Saturday Breakfast with JK & Kelly Brook radio show on Heart FM.
“So a long, long time ago I invested in a handbag.
“And I told JK how much it was, and he couldn’t believe I’d spend tht much on a handbag.”
Kelly was then quick to tell her co-host how much she’d managed to sell the bag for, 15 years later.
“It had literally quadrupled in price!” she marvelled.
“It was such a good investment.”
“Genuinely couldn’t believe that!” JK replied.
“What was even more interesting for me was how much you got for that handbag later on with what had happened to that handbag.”
Kelly then added: “Oh, I had been sick in it a couple of times in the back of the cab on nights out.”
She didn’t “put that on the description of the bag” when she listed it online.
While Kelly didn’t reveal the bag in question, she was regularly seen out and about with a Chanel bag during her showbiz heyday.
The classic bags usually retail for around £5,400 – in a used condition.
Kelly has previously used the website Hardly Ever Worn It to get rid of some of her designer items, as she told Hello! magazine: “Looking glamorous is so far down my list of priorities these days.
“I had wardrobes and storage units full of beautiful pieces and I just felt it was grotesque that they were sitting there, gathering dust.
Spotting Fake Designer Goods

Bags:
- Real designer bags do not come with authenticity cards
- Tags should not be attached to the bag, these usually come with the receipt or are tucked into the packaging
- Designer bags usually have a serial number
- The bag should look and feel high-quality. Check for even stitching, tidy material, no frayed edges and clear colour matching
Watches:
- A genuine high end watch will feel heavy due to high quality materials
- The second hand movement on the watch should not be rigid
- The model name and serial number on a fake may be used across all of their pieces rather than individual ones
- Check for the official branding and compare with a genuine model if you can
- The fine details won’t be as refined, including placement and spacing etc
Sunglasses:
- The lenses on designer shades should be of superior quality. Know what you’re buying. Classic Ray-Ban designs, for instance, are made from glass.
- Fake frames feel lighter than real ones
- Watch out for stiff or loose hinges
“Gorgeous as they are, I don’t live that lifestyle anymore: I don’t really go expensive restaurants, I don’t go to nightclubs.”
Among the items Kelly sold on the site were a Roland Mouret dress, originally £1,800 that she sold for £830.
While an Iro Wool Dark Grey Jacket, originally £270, is the only thing of Kelly’s left on the site – and is currently being sold for £12.35.
