France's ex-first lady Carla Bruni under formal investigation over Sarkozy campaign probe

The wife of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, Carla Bruni, has been placed under formal investigation for hiding evidence related to the alleged Libyan financing of her husband's 2007 presidential campaign, a judicial source told AFP.
