Pakistani Foreign Minister to visit Kabul soon amid instability in Pakistan

0

Pakistani media reports that Ishaq Dar, the country’s Foreign Minister, will soon visit Kabul.

According to the Pakistani newspaper “Business Recorder,” Dar will travel to Kabul to discuss “terrorist groups present in Afghanistan.”

The report highlights Dar’s remarks during a session of the Foreign Relations Committee of Pakistan’s National Assembly, where he referenced recent insecurity and targeting of Chinese nationals, stating he would visit Afghanistan “soon” to discuss all issues with Taliban authorities.

Despite recent visits by Pakistani officials to Afghanistan, tensions between the Taliban authorities and Pakistan occasionally make headlines.

Pakistan, experiencing unprecedented insecurity in recent years, has pointed fingers at the Taliban, alleging terrorist groups like the TTP operate from Afghanistan soil to orchestrate attacks.

Conversely, the Taliban has dismissed these accusations as baseless and, in some instances, has counter-blamed Pakistan for similar activities.

Despite these diplomatic efforts, tensions between Kabul and Islamabad occasionally make headlines, reflecting the complex security challenges both countries navigate in the region.
