Love Island’s Liv Hawkins in feud with Casa Amor star over ‘disgusting’ comments
FORMER Love Island star Olivia Hawkins has hit out at Casa Amor’s recently departed Diamante Laiva, for her unbridled comments towards current housemate, Jess White.
In a shock admission, Diamante branded Jess a bully and warned that her behaviour is damaging to her personal brand.
Olivia Hawkins appeared on the show last year, wowing the villa with her striking beauty[/caption]Speaking in conversation with fellow ex-Love Island contestant Ruby Dale on the Kiss Fresh podcast, Diamante said: “If Jess was here right now I’d just tell her, listen, you’re not the prize, you’re a bully.
You need to stop bullying people because it not a good look. I don’t know if she feels like doing this is giving her props, but the girls in the villa are intimated by Jess and I don’t think that’s a good dynamic to have when you’re supposed to be getting along with people.” The Ruby added: “She’s not being straight up, she’s just bullying.”
But now Olivia Hawkins who herself was given the ‘villain edit’ during her time on the show last year, has criticized Diamante’s “disgusting comments” slamming her for openly tarnishing another contestant.
Writing in her comments, Liv said: “So disgusted by this interview. Calling someone a bully on a big radio show can be so detrimental. There’s definitely better ways you can articulate yourself. Jess and other Islanders don’t deserve the nasty treatment they’re getting.”
Then Liv seems to serve Diamante a warning by saying: “Lets not add fuel to the fire, especially someone whose been on the show and knows how it can be coming out.”
After being booted off the show last year, Liv faced a public backlash after she was accused of toxic femininity, for her ‘cruel’ behaviour towards the boys.
But Liv insists that contestants are at the mercy of the editors on the production team. She says: She said: “It was never about the girls bashing the boys.
“I had many times when I was in tears that wasn’t shown on TV. There were real emotions.
“Maybe it was a case of big personalities clashing, it was so intense and arguments are inevitable when we were in a confined space together 24 hours a day.
“But it was definitely not a case of toxic femininity.
“When people meet me they will see the real me, I’m definitely not a villain.
“Now I’m out of the villa I’m looking forward to people seeing my fun side and my big heart.
“I’m a genuinely lovely person.”
But viewers complained that last years line up was the most “manipulative and toxic” in the show’s history.
Meanwhile ever since her exit last week, Diamante has been dishing the dirt on her time on the show.
As well as branding Jess a bully, she also had some harsh words for love rival Matilda Draper, who the end won the affection of Sean Stone on whom Diamante had set her sights.
In a now deleted Instagram post Diamante wrote: “Stay delusional, it gets you far.”
She also claimed that her brief flirtation with Joey Essex had ended up on the cutting room floor. She said:
In conversation with show host Maya Jama, on ITVX Aftersun show, she said: “What you guys didn’t see was that I actually had really nice chats with everyone and out of everyone the best chats came from Sean and Joey.”
To which Maya replied: “Ooooh what happened with Joey?” Diamante then said: “It was very brief, but the best chat came from Sean.”
