The 8 best quarterbacks in College Football 25
College Football 25 is one of the most anticipated sports video games in years, and we’re only a few days away from the launch on July 19th.
EA has revealed the ratings for the top 100 players in the game, led by Michigan’s Will Johnson, LSU’s Will Campbell and Oklahoma State’s Ollie Gordon II.
A total of eight quarterbacks landed within the top 100 overall players revealed by EA on Wednesday. We don’t yet know their quarterback-specific ratings, such as throw power or accuracy, but we did get some insight into their athletic ratings (Alabama’s Jalen Milroe is going to be a arguably the biggest dual-threat in the game.)
Here are the eight best quarterbacks in College Football 25, sorted by overall rating.
1. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado: 93 overall
Speed: 80 | Acceleration: 85 | Strength: 72 | Awareness: 98 | Jumping: 84
The Colorado Buffaloes have both the highest-rated QB (Sanders) and the highest-rated WR (Travis Hunter), meaning they’ll likely be a mega-popular pick in online matchups with such an explosive offense. Sanders threw for 27 touchdowns and three INTs in 2023, but only managed a 4-7 record in 11 games.
2. Carson Beck, Georgia: 93 overall
Speed: 74 | Acceleration: 77 | Strength: 66 | Awareness: 96 | Jumping: 71
In his first season as a starter for the Bulldogs, Beck posted a 13-1 record, throwing for 24 touchdowns and nearly 4,000 yards.
3. Quinn Ewers, Texas: 92 overall
Speed: 81 | Acceleration: 83 | Strength: 56 | Awareness: 97 | Jumping: 76
A two-year starter for the Longhorns, Ewers posted a rating of 158.6 in 2023 – and the Texas QB room is officially loaded for dynasty mode with Arch Manning opting into College Football 25.
4. Dillon Gabriel, Oregon: 92 overall
Speed: 81 | Acceleration: 85 | Strength: 63 | Awareness: 99 | Jumping: 78
Arguably the biggest transfer of the offseason, Gabriel is going from Oklahoma – where he went 10-2 last season and threw 30 touchdowns – to the Ducks.
5. Jalen Milroe, Alabama: 90 overall
Speed: 91 | Acceleration: 93 | Strength: 75 | Awareness: 92 | Jumping: 89
Milroe rushed for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023 – and with eye-popping speed and acceleration numbers, he could become the new Madden 04 Michael Vick in online matchups.
6. Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss: 90 overall
Speed: 84 | Acceleration: 85 | Strength: 67 | Awareness: 93 | Jumping: 83
Dart played one season at Southern Cal before transferring to Ole Miss, where he’s grown into a tremendous QB, throwing for 23 touchdowns and 5 INTs last season.
7. Jalon Daniels, Kansas: 90 overall
Speed: 88 | Acceleration: 90 | Strength: 73 | Awareness: 93 | Jumping: 85
Daniels came into the 2023 season as a Heisman Trophy hopeful, but a back injury limited him to just three games. A dual-threat, he rushed for seven touchdowns in 2022.
8. Kaidon Salter, Liberty: 90 overall
Speed: 87 | Acceleration: 92 | Strength: 62 | Awareness: 94 | Jumping: 90
Salter led Liberty to a perfect 13-0 season in 2023, rushing for 1,064 yards and 12 touchdowns while throwing 31 TDs.
