NYPD officer dies after medical episode in the Bronx: Police

RODMAN'S NECK, Bronx (PIX11) – An NYPD officer died after having a medical episode at a department training facility in the Bronx Wednesday afternoon, according to the NYPD. 

A 33-year-old recruit had a medical episode around 11:25 a.m. while doing a training exercise at an outdoor range at Rodman’s Neck, according to the NYPD.

He was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition, and died shortly after, officials said. 

The 33-year-old started with the department in January, according to police.
