Aldo’s New ‘Looney Tunes’ Collection Embraces Nostalgia With Footwear and Apparel Styles Inspired by Iconic Characters

Global fashion and footwear brand Aldo is teaming up with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products for its first-ever “Looney Tunes”-inspired collection, which features 30 pieces including an assortment of men’s and women’s footwear, handbags and accessories inspired by the iconic “Looney Tunes” characters — Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety Bird and others.

“This collaboration with WBDGCP has allowed us to infuse our designs with the timeless humor and joy that these characters represent,” says Daianara Grullon Amalfitano, chief Aldo brand and product officer, via statement. “Our aim was to create a collection that not only celebrates these iconic Looney Tunes characters but also invites our customers to embrace their playful side and indulge in a bit of nostalgia. This collaboration is a true testament to the fun and ingenuity that both Looney Tunes and Aldo bring to the table.”

Imaginative graphics, bright colors and the airy elements associated with the cartoon are all heavily depicted throughout the pieces in this capsule, which includes everything from glossy loafers you can wear for upscale events, to sporty sneakers and slides that can be worn to the gym, beach and other casual occasions.

What’s more, all of the footwear styles feature Aldo’s exclusive PillowWalk technology. Each shoe is crafted with dual-density foam and padded insoles for effortless comfort. 

The “Looney Tunes” x Aldo collection will be available for purchase on July 25, both online at aldoshoes.com and in stores.

This announcement follows a recent collaboration between the brand and Mattel, inspired by the iconic ‘90s Barbie Dreamhouse, which included a two-part set that featured a footwear set that paid homage to the trends of the ’90s with detailing like holographic materials and rhinestone embellishments. This also included the Barbie Dreamhouse Delights styles—a seven-silhouette collection emphasized by its main standout—a light pink strappy open-toe sandal completed by a stiletto heel and glitter panel that retailed for $160.

Pricing for Aldo x Looney Tunes will also be around that range, and the collection will be available for purchase both online and in retail locations starting July 25.
