Red Sox Vs. Athletics Lineups: Alex Cora Deploying One-Sided Order
The Red Sox will look to capture their sixth series win in eight tries Wednesday, as they take on the Oakland Athletics at Fenway Park.
The A’s are starting a left-hander, and Alex Cora had no issue countering heavily.
Boston has six right-handed bats in the lineup, tapping into the bench for its current stretch against lefties. Jamie Westbrook, Romy Gonzalez and Rob Refsnyder will make their first starts in quite a while, with the former being recalled from Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday.
Jarren Duran, Tyler O’Neill and Rafael Devers will hold their spots in the order surrounding Refsnyder, while Westbrook and Ceddanne Rafaela round things out. Masataka Yoshida is the only returning starter to move, sliding down one spot to the seven hole. Gonzalez will bat sixth.
The Athletics made just one change, as Tyler Nevin replaces Tyler Soderstrom at first base.
The Red Sox and A’s are scheduled to take the field at Fenway Park at 7:10 p.m. ET on NESN, following an hour of pregame coverage. We’ve got the projected lineups here.
