People smuggling suspect arrested in Paphos
Paphos police arrested a 51-year-old man suspected of people smuggling, it emerged on Friday.
According to police the man was found after a 46-year-old in a migrant reception centre said that the suspect aided him in coming to the Republic’s territory through the north.
The younger man said that the suspect then demanded he give €1,000 and threatened him.
An arrest warrant was issued for the 51-year-old, and he was arrested on Thursday night at 10pm.
