Halfmoon man charged with assault using a deadly weapon
MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of a Halfmoon man following an assault investigation. Fredy Brizuela-Santacruz, 32, is facing multiple charges.
On July 10 around 11:38 p.m., deputies responded to the Vosburgh Mobile Home Park in Mechanicville following reports of an active fight in the area. Brizuela-Santacruz is accused of using a knife to injure someone he reportedly knew, after allegedly possessing the weapon with the intent to harm the person.
The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center to be treated for their injuries. Brizuela-Santacruz was arrested on Wednesday night and charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Brizuela-Santacruz was arraigned before Judge Ellwood Sloat Jr. at the Malta Town Court. He was then remanded to the Saratoga County Jail in lieu of bail, bond, or partially secured bond.
