Who are Cole Palmer’s parents? What we know about the England & Chelsea midfielder’s mum and dad
COLE Palmer and his heroic Three Lions teammates are on the brink of bringing football home, having made it all the way to the final of Euro 2024.
Here’s everything we know about the England ace’s parents.
Who are Cole Palmer’s parents?
Cole Palmer‘s father is Jermaine – and the Chelsea player credits him with teaching him “everything” about football.
His mum is called Marie.
The couple has two children – Cole, who was born on May 6, 2002, and his older sister Hallie, who was born in December 2000.
Like his son, Jermaine used to play the beautiful game.
In July 2022, Cole told the Player’s Tribune: “Dad doesn’t play anymore since he done his knee, and I don’t really remember any specific games, but he’ll tell you how good he was.
“‘Top scorer from centre back, one season.’ That’s what he says, anyway.
“I reckon he’s lying. Sorry, Dad. Hahaha!”
What does Cole Palmer’s mum do for a living?
Marie works as a dyslexia assessor.
This involves carrying out assessments to identify what reasonable adjustments, aids or adaptations might be helpful for a person with dyslexia.
They also investigate support for employees and students in order for them to carry out their work or complete their studies effectively.
What does Cole Palmer’s dad do for a living?
Jermaine is a dental engineer.
As well as helping to fix people’s teeth, Jermaine has also had a massive impact on his son’s football career.
Cole said: “Even my first memories are of football. I know a lot of players will say that, but it’s true!
“I actually have two ‘first’ memories. They both involve football. And they both involve my dad.
“One is watching him play Sunday League every weekend for his pub team, Blackboy FC, in Manchester.
“He used to sit me down on the bag of balls on the sidelines, wrapped in one of his rain jackets.
“I would just take it all in — the crunching tackles, the shouting, the arguing.
“He fixes dental equipment as his real job, but to listen to him you’d think he’d had a 20 year career in the Premier League!”
He added: “I don’t like admitting it to him, but Dad taught me everything about football growing up.
“He was Pep before I met Pep.
“You see, the other really early memory I have is when I was like four or five and my dad used to take me over the road to the park opposite our house in Wythenshawe.
“I remember walking with him through the gates, past the cage and skate ramps to this little patch of grass.
“He would throw the ball up and I would just control it, over and over again. Control it and then protect it.
“He used to say: ‘No point trying to shoot if you can’t keep hold of the ball in the first place.’
“We would do that every single day whatever the weather.”

Cole’s grandfather emigrated to the UK from the Caribbean island of St Kitts in the 1960s.
His dad previously revealed how popular his son is on the Caribbean island.
In April 2024, Jermaine told The Telegraph: “I went over for the first time in January and it was great.
“Speaking to my dad’s cousins who are still over there they said the island is going crazy about Cole.
“So when he does go himself he’s probably going to need a police escort! They’re all Chelsea fans over there now!”
Cole pays tribute to his roots via his football boots.
He said: “… my dad’s family is from St Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean.
“He hates going out in the cold. But he’d do it for me anyway.
“That’s why I got the St Kitts flag on my boots, as a little tribute to him and his family.”
