What to Know About Boll & Branch

Boll & Branch, which has a major celeb and (alleged!) presidential following, was founded by Scott and Missy Tannen in 2014. The husband and wife duo sought to source textiles directly with the highest-quality raw materials, which was missing in the textile industry. “We established a better end-to-end system, ensuring only adults make our products and that they benefit along with us,” the Tanners said on the Boll & Branch website. And now, the retailer lives by the motto, “Our difference makes a difference—so we can all sleep better at night.”

Do Boll & Branch Sheets Wrinkle Easily?

It depends on which sheets you purchase and how you care for your sheets. At first look, there are no wrinkles in the sheets I tested (keep scrolling to read my review). And even after a week of sleeping on them, I haven’t noticed any imperfections. I don’t know what magic these sheets possess, but they still have their original shape and form. So, to put them to the test, I tossed them in the washer and followed the care instructions. After carefully drying the sheet set, I was pleasantly surprised that they weren’t a tangled mess like my other low-quality ones when I took them out. Finally, I need a sheet set that doesn’t cause frustration and hours to put the set back on after washing!

“The Percale Hemmed Sheet Set I tested (keep scrolling for my review) did wrinkle after I washed and slept in them, but I also don’t iron my sheets, nor do I take my sheets out of the wash right away, so take that with a grain of salt,” Gina Vaynshteyn, senior commerce director, says.

My Honest Review of Boll & Branch Sheets

I selected the Boll & Branch Signature Vintage Washed Sheet Set and a throw blanket for my bed, and I anxiously awaited for UPS to deliver them. As soon as I got the notification that they were delivered, I couldn’t open them fast enough. Each set and blanket was packaged beautifully in individual boxes and wrapped with a signature brand tie — an added detail I loved!

When I first felt the sheets, I knew they were different. They were buttery smooth and had a heavy weight to them. I ran upstairs to toss them on the bed. I know, I know. You should always wash sheets before placing them on your bed, but I was that excited to see what they were about. They were seamless to put on my bed and stayed put without slipping and sliding around.

They look crisp and fresh once on, they literally call you to bed. Later that night, I headed to sleep, melted into the cool sheets, and was out. When I woke the next, morning the sheets had not moved and didn’t have a wrinkle to them. It’s been over a week now and I have yet to find a flaw with the sheets.

“I tested the Percale Hemmed Sheet Set, which was recommended to me for its cooling properties. Crafted from the brand’s special cooling weave (and breathable organic cotton), these sheets feel especially crisp, yet soft. Which is hard to achieve! I think a lot of times you buy cooling bed sheets, and they feel almost, crinkly and unsubstantial. That’s not the case here: These sheets are truly cool-to-the-touch, light, yet soft and so comfortable,” Vaynshteyn says.

“I’m currently 8 months pregnant in JULY, so the need to feel cool and comfortable at night is paramount to me. These sheets make me sleep like a baby! I only wake up to pee, which is, unfortunately, not something I can really do much about. Another feature that makes these sheets super worth it is that they actually STAY ON on my thick mattress. No other bedding brand, unless it specifically offers elastic bands that help the fitted sheet stay put, has achieved this for me, and I absolutely cannot stand waking up in the middle of the night on a bare mattress. It gives me the ICK, as the youths say,” Vaynshteyn says.

“The only con I can think of is that the sheets do wrinkle quickly, but I also put zero effort into making my bedding looking nice, so, take what you want out of that!”
