Big Bounce America in Capital Region this weekend
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Some family-friendly fun happening this weekend in Ballston Spa. NEWS10 was there for a preview of one of the biggest bounce house events in the world.
Big Bounce America’s main attraction is the largest bounce house in the world at 26,000 square feet. There are six other inflatable attractions, ranging from ball pits, slides, sports arenas, and even a foam cannon.
Noa Visnich is the tour manager for Big Bounce America, and she said you can slide into some summer fun this weekend only.
“We got food trucks, DJs, shaded tent areas and giant slide. We have an obstacle course that’s 900 feet . You are going over, under, sliding and jumping through, racing, having a great time. You can skip the gym and just do that one,” said Visnich.
On Friday, crews were still setting up. Visnich said how it looks on screen does not do it justice.
“Kids come absolutely speechless. You see pictures of it on the internet, you see videos of that but when you come and see just how giant it is in person, kids’ faces just kind of drop with awe and they’re just so excited. Everyone’s having so much fun, honestly people come and are speechless,” said Visnich.
She describes more of what you’ll find at the Elms Family Farm July 12-14.
“We have ball pits. We have Octo-Blast. It’s a very new one. So if you’ve been here before you haven’t seen this one, it has snow machines that shoot off a bunch of foam you’re slipping you’re sliding you’re having so much fun,” said Visnich.
Toddler sessions are $22. It’s $35 for both the Junior and Bigger Kids sessions and they have mixed-age family sessions.
“We also do an adult-only session. So leave your kids at home and come be a big kid yourself here at the world's biggest bounce house,” said Visnich. Those adult sessions are $45.
But Visnich said it’s selling out fast. If you’re interested in participating you can find out more on TheBigBounceAmerica.com
She urges anyone who plans on attending to be prepared. Wear athletic clothing, take lots of water and take breaks often, as needed. And don’t forget to bring your socks, shoes and bare feet are not allowed.
