Pearl, one of the railroad puppies, passes away

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A sad update to a story many remember in the Capital Region of abused puppies after they were abandoned on railroad tracks in Albany.

Hudson and Pearl survived their rough start in life 13 years ago and were adopted by two different local families.

Susan Kittle and her children said they helped Pearl cross the Rainbow Bridge at home on Friday afternoon. They said they are forever grateful she chose them to be her family and said she will be forever missed.
