Fidias congratulated by his hero, Elon Musk

Billionaire Elon Musk has congratulated Fidias Panayiotou on being elected to the EU parliament as a Cypriot MEP, it emerged on Saturday.

Musk posted on his platform X to congratulate Panayiotou on his win. The video has been viewed over 18 million times.

In the post, Musk wrote “Congrats”, and posted a video underneath that shows Fidias’ story and the road to the EU parliament.

Panayiotou responded by saying “Well, you deserve the credit ,you are a big inspiration”.

Panayiotou, a Youtuber, won a seat as one of Cyprus’ six MEPs in a landslide, taking the most votes out of any of the candidates.

He had run as an independent candidate.

Panayiotou became famous on YouTube for a number of outlandish stunts, including embarking on a mission to hug Elon Musk.
