Man City to offer Ederson take-it-or-leave-it pay rise to stop him from joining Saudi revolution in £900k-A-WEEK deal
MANCHESTER CITY plan to hand Ederson a take-it-or-leave-it pay hike to stop him joining the Saudi Arabia revolution.
SunSport revealed that Al-Nassr want to make the Brazilian keeper their marquee signing, on a staggering £900,000 a week – PLUS a signing-on fee.
Man City are ready to hand Ederson a bumper new deal to keep him away from Saudi Arabia[/caption]While City clearly can’t come close to matching those terms, they will sit down with Ederson’s team next week.
And the champs will offer him a near-75 per cent rise to his current salary.
They are ready to give the South American stopper around £1million a month if he pens a deal that keeps him at the Etihad for the remainder of his peak years.
City would love him to commit his future to Manchester.
And they hope the offer of increased terms will prove how important he is to them.
But if he is determined to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, the champions won’t stand in his way – although they won’t let him go for less than £50m.
The 30-year-old has less than two years left on his current contract.
And City know this is their last chance to stand firm and command a hefty fee.

They have recently shown their faith in back-up keeper Stefan Ortega by handing the German a contract extension.
Yet Ederson has been a pivotal figure in helping them win 16 trophies since his £34m signing from Benfica seven years ago.
The fact they have yet to receive a concrete offer from Saudi despite admitting of interest has added to the uncertainty.
And if there is no sign of a quick resolution to the Brazilian’s future, he is scheduled to fly out with City on their upcoming pre-season trip to America.
