Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has emphasized that India, as the next-door neighbor, has the right to implement the Teesta water conservation and associated SEZ project. She cut short her visit to China after Beijing backtracked on a $5 billion financial package and did not offer her adequate protocol. Hasina said that India should prioritize the project, as she holds the water of the Teesta River.
