Kate Middleton Made Another Appearance Post–Cancer Diagnosis
It has barely been a month since Kate Middleton made her official return to public life following the spring announcement of her cancer diagnosis. But the Princess of Wales appears to be feeling good, because just a few weeks after joining her family at the Trooping the Colour parade in June, she made another public appearance on Sunday at Wimbledon.
Middleton arrived at the men’s-finals match to a standing ovation, wearing a bright-purple Safiyaa dress. She was joined by her 9-year-old daughter, Charlotte, and sister, Pippa. After shaking hands and meeting with some players in the clubhouse, she took in the match from the Royal Box. After it was over, the princess fulfilled some royal duties as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, presenting winner Carlos Alcaraz and runner-up Novak Djokovic with their trophies.

She isn’t the first royal to stop by the celebrity-packed tennis tournament — two days earlier, her mother-in-law, Queen Camilla, sat courtside with a controversial Dior bag named after Princess Diana. Prince William, meanwhile, was in Germany on Sunday watching the Euro 2024 championship game with the couple’s son Prince George. Although the timeline for the princess’s recovery still isn’t clear, she wrote in June that she is “making good progress.”
