Gloversville man arrested on burglary, weapon charges
GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State police reported the arrest of a Gloversville man in connection to a burglary investigation. Jesse O’Neal, 44, is facing multiple charges.
On July 13 around 1:23 a.m., state police responded to a home in Perth following a report of an active armed burglary. The investigation revealed that O’Neal allegedly came to the house uninvited, forced entry by breaking a window, and once inside, hit a victim repeatedly with multiple objects.
Troopers arriving at the scene located O’Neal in the residence's driveway and arrested him. He was charged with first-degree burglary and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
State police say that the victim, who is familiar with O’Neal, was treated at a local hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers turned O’Neal over to the Fulton County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
