A 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with a case of knife possession, it emerged Tuesday from police reports.
Two other suspects, aged 20 and 22, are already in custody for the same case. Police announced that the third and most recent arrest would help “facilitate the investigation”.
The arrests followed a complaint about stolen credit cards used at a kiosk in Ayia Napa.
Police stopped the two suspects outside of the kiosk, believing that they were responsible for the fraudulent transactions.
They then discovered two knives in their possession and arrested the pair.
Police searched the house where the two suspects lived and found 14 mobile phones and two portable computers.
The two persons were brought before court Monday, which issued an eight-day detention order.
