Boy, 5, drowns in Dunlap Lake in Marion County

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A 5-year-old boy drowned Monday morning at a lake in rural Marion County, officials said.
Deputies rushed to Dunlap Lake around 8 a.m. after getting a call the boy fell into the lake and was found by his father. Emergency responders arrived from around the area and tried to revive the boy.
The efforts weren't successful and the boy died at the scene, officials said.
Responders from the Idanha-Detroit Fire District, Lyons Ambulance Service, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were involved in the efforts.
