Police arrest suspect attempting to influence investigations

Paphos police arrested a 36-year-old man suspected of attempting to influence a witness, in a case brought against the suspect, it emerged on Wednesday.

According to police, a man had filed a complaint against the 36-year-old for beating him.

Police said that the suspect then proceed to send the man a threatening message on July 5, to withdraw the complaint against him.

In a statement, police said that the 36-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday night, as per a court warrant for attempting to influence the investigations into the complaint against him.
