Love Island fans ‘work out’ why Mimii can’t let Ayo go – saying ‘it’s all his fault’
LOVE Island fans believe they’ve worked out why Mimii can’t move on from Ayo – and are blaming him.
The two Islanders were partnered together by the public on day one and have had a will they/won’t they sort of relationship ever since.
The first threat to their partnership was Uma when she arrived as a bombshell and became part of a short-lived love triangle.
Things got back on track after Ayo decided Uma wasn’t for him, but Casa Amor threw a major spanner in the works.
He hit it off immediately with Jessica Spencer and admitted had she been in the villa from the off they would have been boyfriend and girlfriend.
He returned to main villa with Jessica, leaving Mimii single.
Despite the introduction of bombshells who have shown her interest, Mimii seemingly can’t let go of her feelings for Ayo.
Last night she sneaked onto the terrace for a secret chat with him only to be told he was happy with Jessica.
But viewers think Ayo hasn’t been clear enough.
One person wrote on X last night: “Ayo says one thing to everyone else and then talks in riddles to Mimii leaving room for confusion.
“He basically admitted to Ciaran that he’s giving Mimii mixed messages, so to everyone asking where Mimii is getting the idea that Ayo is still interested from, here you go.”
Another said: “To be fair to Mimi. I always expected Ayo to get back with her, so he’s definitely giving mixed messages.”
A third posted: “Ayo leading this girl on – got her crawling on a terrace cause he been sending her mixed messages! Second hand embarrassment for her! Come on Mimi you better than this.”
Ayo clearly tried to let Mimii down gently, but by doing so he still left room for doubt.
He told her: “I feel like the last conversation we had was to say we’re going to leave what was and was going on and continue what we’ve got going on. I thought that was understood by both of us.
“I don’t want there to be confusion with what’s going on right now. As long as you understand what I’ve been telling you and no miscommunication.
“Me and Jessica, I’m not going to sit here and lie to you, bu things are going so well. I swear I’m probably going to have to leave this one.”
After the conversation, he admitted to Ciaran that he didn’t think Mimii had fully registered that he wants to move on.
Island fans were left groaning with embarrassment after Mimii got shut down by for the second time.
