Man to stand trial for death of brother-in-law
The 50-year-old man held for killing his brother-in-law in Peyia is going straight to trial for manslaughter after he admitted to the crime.
Paphos deputy operations chief Michalis Nicolaou on Wednesday confirmed the hearing has been set for September 10.
The crime unfolded on July 4 when during an argument, the 50-year-old shot his brother-in-law with a shotgun.
He served a remand order before being taken to Athalassa psychiatric hospital and was re-arrested upon his release.
On Saturday, he presented to Paphos district court where he admitted to manslaughter.
