I’ve loved Bermuda shorts for years, way before the fash pack decided they are the must-have item this summer.
As soon as the temperature rises, tailored short suits are my go-to for looking chic and keeping cool in the city.
This year, I have borrowed an oversized blue Oxford shirt from the boys and will be teaming it with H&M’s sharp long-line shorts.
I’ve added red accessories and a pair of retro sunnies to give my Bermuda shorts a cool ’70s vibe.

Bermudas have always filled me with fear, but this H&M pair are so stylish I don’t know what I was afraid of!
Big and baggy denim styles aren’t for me, but in a neutral colour and tailored? Yes, please.
Be it on holiday aboard or at my favourite local restaurant, dining outside is one of the joys of summer (when it’s not pouring, obviously!).

I love the look of Bermuda shorts, but as someone who is just 5ft tall, it can be challenging to find a pair that fits well and hits the right length on my legs, but this H&M pair are just right – and the boxy shape makes my legs look longer, which is a plus!
Normally, I’d avoid wearing shorts to the office, but the pleated tailoring of these makes them ideal for sprucing up any work outfit.
I’ve teamed them with a crisp white shirt and a leopard-print jacket that I’ve been eyeing up for a while, as it looks like it will remain a trending print into A/W.
Chunky loafers and a spacious shopper bag, ideal for carrying my laptop, complete the look.
And I’m really impressed with the quality of this brown belt – at under £20 from Mango, it smartens up the outfit and ties everything together.
