Teen charged with killing another teen in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A 13-year-old girl was shot and killed and another teen is charged in connection to her death.

Police say earlier this week, 13-year-old A’moni Young was found shot and later died at the hospital.

It started around 1:40 a.m. on Monday. Police got a call to a shooting off NW 118th Street.

When they got there, they found Young shot in the front yard.

“She was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries,” Lt. Jeff Cooper with the Oklahoma City Police Department said in an interview on scene early Monday morning.

A 15-year old boy is now facing a murder charge in her death.

The judge overseeing the case has sealed the documents, but KFOR has confirmed the teenager was denied bond and is in custody.
