Jeremy Clarkson starts work on £1m pub The Windmill after ‘accidentally’ opening it early
JEREMY Clarkson has now embarked on the refurbishment of his newly acquired countryside pub.
In June the former Top Gear presenter made headlines when he purchased a £1 million pub in Oxfordshire.
He opened the boozer for one night only so locals could watch the Euros[/caption]Jeremy is known for his reality series Clarkson’s Farm, where viewers follow his attempts to run his 1,000-acre farm, Diddly Squat.
The entrepreneur previously invested in beer production near his farm on the outskirts of Bourton-on-the-Water.
Now he is expanding his horizons after purchasing The Windmill.
The 64-year-old took to Instagram to share updates about his new venture.
He told followers that his specially brewed beer, Hawkstone, will be available in his pub when it opens to the public.
The Sun columnist previously admitted that the pub might not be open for guests until 2025.
However, fans got a sneak peek of the interior when Jeremy hosted an early launch last week, inviting punters to watch England take on Spain in Sunday’s Euro final.
Footage posted on social media showed the 64-year-old mingling with guests as he and the locals prepared for the match.
In one clip, Jeremy candidly admitted, “Well, we’ve accidentally opened our pub before it’s finished. It’s going to be very many weeks before we’ve got it open.”
The pub was decorated with England flags and bunting.
Jeremy could be seen getting behind the bar to serve customers, showcasing the brand new Hawkstone beer pumps.
The taster has left fans eagerly anticipating the official opening of The Windmill once renovations are complete.
