Beat the unpredictable summer weather with Asda’s quilted £16 jacket that looks much more expensive than it is
DESIGNER purchases often require a lot of savings, or hours spent scouring vintage stores and second-hand sites in a bid to secure Burberry, Chanel, or Dior pieces for slightly less.
But, when those searches aren’t fruitful, we turn to designer dupes, and the stunning ASDA quilted jacket looks very similar to a Burberry design – but for less.
Camel Quilted Jacket, £10 (Was £16), ASDA
ASDA has sent shoppers flocking to buy the Camel Quilted Jacket, which is on sale for £10, down from £16.
The ASDA Quilted Jacket looks very similar to Burberry’s Cropped Quilted Thermoregulated Barn Jacket, which fetches £990. Considering the former could save you £980 it’s a no-brainer.
Asda’s Camel Quilted Jacket is super chic and perfect throughout the year; particularly those transitional seasons, and summer days when typical British weather means it’s still grey, cloudy, wet and windy.
The ASDA Quilted Jacket features the same diamond-like quilted texture, which elevates the outerwear piece and provides warmth with the extra padding.
It has long sleeves, but achieves a more raglan finish, rather than the fitted Burberry design – though it’s described as a regular fit in the description.
Considering we love a boxy fit, anything oversized, and will most likely be layering clothes underneath the jacket, ASDA’s design is even more appealing for us.
The ASDA jacket is made from lyocell and cotton fabric, which is super soft and durable, it is suitable for machine wash.
The main difference – aside from the price tag – is the ASDA design features a high funnel neck, rather than a collar with cord detail like the Burberry jacket.
The ASDA design also features a zip and press stud button fastening, which the Burberry jacket also features.
But the main difference is Burberry’s buttons are visible, whereas the ASDA creation has camel-coloured buttons, which look a little more discreet, another big tick on our fashion wish list.
ASDA’s jacket features side slip pockets, whereas Burberry’s design has side patch pockets, which means you slip your hands in at the top, rather than the side.
Small detail, but a subtle difference.

The Burberry Cropped Quilted Thermoregulated Barn Jacket also retails for a hefty sum more.
The Burberry number has been created with 37.5 thermoregulation technology, which helps to keep the wearer insulated, yet maintains breathability and airflow.
We would style both jackets the same way; layer this jacket over a classic jeans and t-shirt combo, which you can style with Western boots, trainers, and the hugely popular ballet pumps.
Alternatively, pair with an LBD, sandals or sweet Mary Jane pumps for an elevated look, but weather appropriate and of course a designer dupe handbag from some of our favourite high street retailers, maybe even the M&S Celine dupe that had us double take.
In the winter we will be stacking our roll neck jumpers, or layering a shirt with a sleeveless knit tank, tailored trousers and loafers, or boots, with this outerwear piece for extra warmth and protection from the elements.
However you’ll need to be quick if you want to pick one up, the ASDA jacket is selling out fast.
It is usually available to shop in sizes extra small to extra extra large, but sizes are being snapped up – but it’s worth noting ASDA has advised shoppers to size up.
