Vicky Pattison’s one suitcase edit for New Look is all you need for your summer holiday – here’s our highlights
VICKY PATTISON nails it every time she steps out, whether she is opting for a lowkey casual look or red-carpet glam.
We have recently been swooning over the presenter and podcast host’s hen-do wardrobe, but now Vicky has caught our attention with her latest New Look collection.
Vicky Pattison’s edit with New Look caters to all our summer needs[/caption]New Look X Vicky Pattinson One Suitcase, Endless Looks edit, from £2.99
Vicky Pattison has curated a summer edit – otherwise known as the One Suitcase, Endless Looks edit – with New Look, which sees prices start as low as £2.99.
The edit is to help us with packing for our next summer vacation – especially with the restricted luggage allowances at the airport.
The collection encourages shoppers to buy select items, which you can style in multiple ways for numerous stylish looks to see you through your vacation, and the summer months entirely.
If you’re not going on holiday this summer, Vicky Pattison’s edit is still perfect for bottomless brunches, al fresco sinners, rooftop bars, picnics in the park, staycations, and even the office.
Vicky’s edit is just as vibrant as her personality, as it features bold colours, eclectic prints, feminine co-ords, and stand-out accessories.
In true Vicky Pattison style, the former Geordie Shore star who is known for championing body positivity has partnered with New Look to create an inclusive fashion collection for women of all body shapes and sizes to wear sizes ranging from UK 6 to 22.
The edit not only includes co-ords, but also mix-and-match staples, and versatile pieces you can wear outside of the summer months, as well as for future summers to come.
New Look has previously collaborated with Anne-Marie, Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle, as well as Emily Atack, but we think this may just be the best edit to date – just don’t tell the others.
With almost 150 items, we have whittled down our non-negotiables to adorn all summer long, as well as tips on how we would style our favourite pieces.
Our top picks in the Vicky Pattison x New Look edit
White Poplin Tiered Maxi Skirt
A white maxi skirt is this season’s hottest garment[/caption]Maxi skirts are all the rage this season, whether you dress them up or down – they are an essential buy.
It comes in three colours, including black, white and khaki green, and is easy to slip on whatever the occasion.
We would style with a black vest top, flat sandals or trainers, and potentially layer a stripe or bold shirt over the top, though if it was a breezy summer’s day we would also keep a lightweight crew neck jumper to hand or oversized denim jacket.
Blue Relaxed Denim Shorts
A summer essential regardless[/caption]No summer or holiday wardrobe is complete without a pair of denim shorts.
This season it seems hot pant shorts are not the vibe, but instead longer length shorts for more coverage.
These shorts are high-waisted, a straight fit, and come in two denim colourways, which we will wear on rotation with a t-shirt, or vest and linen shirt, even with a satin cami top and thong sandals and blazer for a rooftop bar on a summer’s evening.
Gold Cowl Neck Strappy Mini Dress
Going somewhere fancy?[/caption]If you are heading out this summer, want to dress up on holiday, or maybe you are heading on a hen, then you will want a knock-out dress to wear, and this is the golden ticket – literally.
The dazzling dress boasts spaghetti straps, is mini length and features a cowl neckline, all of which are super feminine details.
The dress has a slight flare to it so it is not super skin tight and loosely skims the body, which we think is much more flattering and comfortable.
Pair with nude, black or metallic sandals and equally as bold accessories – why the heck not?
Cream Crochet High Waist Wide Leg Trousers
Mix and match this co-ord or wear the complete set[/caption]We love a co-ord, and this crochet set in Vicky’s edit is already in our basket.
The trousers are sheer because of the crochet detail, but they are fitted with a short inner lining for coverage, which we are grateful for as it means we can wear these trousers day or night.
Pair with the matching crochet top and sandals for a comfortable and chic everyday look, layer over your bikini and flip flops for your next visit to the beach, or cowboy boots for a festival.
Cream Crochet Cropped Long Sleeved Top
Of course, we think you have to get the matching crochet long-sleeve top to complete the co-ord.
This set is available in black and cream, and quite frankly we want both, because we think it is a stylish and affordable design everyone will be wearing this season.
The top can be paired with the matching trousers, or layered over a vest top, paired with denim shorts, or linen trousers, the options are endless.
Brown Abstract-Print V-Neck Smock Midi Dress
Dress up or down, this dress will be one we think you will live in all season[/caption]A maxi dress is always in our holiday wardrobe, especially a smock design as it is a super flattering and comfortable style.
This dress is super versatile, as you can pair it with cream sandals and accessories, as well as a raffia bag in the daytime, or swap those flats for cream wedges for a more formal soiree.
We would even layer over a bikini to go from the hotel to the beach, or beach club, and even to dinner after.
Mid-Blue Denim Waistcoat
Waistcoats are back in trend, and denim is the fabric to opt for for a Western aesthetic[/caption]Waistcoats are doing the rounds lately and we are not complaining as they are an elevated alternative to t-shirts or vest tops.
Denim is having a real moment, and in forms, other than jeans and shorts, and double denim is also a popular option with the Western aesthetic being hugely popular too, which means this waistcoat is a must-buy.
We would pair the waistcoat with matching denim shorts and cowboy boots for any summer festival, or we would pair it with a satin slip skirt, even the tiered white maxi skirt for a bohemian aesthetic.
White Palm Print Wrap Front Crop Top
This postcard print is everywhere this summer[/caption]Postcard prints are the latest trend everyone is going head over heels for – us included – as it’s a great way to inject colour into an otherwise boring wardrobe.
Summer is the prime time to experiment with bold colours and prints, and the postcard print designs from New Look help to achieve that.
The White Palm Print set is available in high-waisted shorts, a wrap front crop top, and a midi skirt, and while you can mix and match with other staples, you can also wear the full set – which we intend to do.
Multicoloured Palm Print Tie Side Sarong Midi Skirt
Mix and match the skirt with the matching top, or a bold printed vest top[/caption]We love a co-ord, especially in summer, as it makes for super easy dressing in the morning, and packing when we’re on holiday for that matter.
For those who prefer a little more coverage the midi skirt may be your best bet as it falls mid-way down the calf and past the knee, yet also boasts a high rise to cover your stomach area.
You can style this skirt with a bikini or swimsuit to the beach, pair it with the matching top for everyday or evening attire on your vacation, or swap the blouse for a bold vest top.
Multicoloured Palm Print Pull-On Shorts
The shorts can be styled as a full set, or worn casually, the options are endless[/caption]A pair of bold shorts in the summer months is a must, and these high-waisted shorts, paired with New Look’s Hermes sandals dupe are a packing must-have.
Similar to the skirt you can pair it with the matching top, t-shirt or vest top in classic white and black hues, or pull out one of the bold shades from the shorts to brighten up your summer wardrobe – we’d select the latter.
These shorts are perfect to wear every day as they are billowy and do not cling to the body, which makes for extra comfort and breathability, especially in 30-degree heat.
