Texas A&M Architecture students reveal end-of-year designs in Dezeen video
Texas A&M Department of Architecture students showcased their end-of-year projects in an exhibition held on the university's campus, as revealed in this video created by Dezeen for the programme.
The exhibition at Texas A&M is an annual event highlighting student design projects and faculty research initiatives. This year's showcase included models, drawings, renderings and animations on large LED screens.

The exhibition also included an augmented reality presentation created using mixed-reality headset HoloLens 2.
Students participated in their final reviews by demonstrating the impact of their designs to academic and industry professionals who visited the university.
As part of the architecture programme, students work in design studios, an informal exchange between students and faculty members that aims to define and develop architectural ideas and often includes guest lecturers.
They also participate in collaborative workshops beyond the studios, including a labyrinth installation that was created on Texas A&M's campus in 2022.
The large installation was a response to the changing dynamics of social interaction during the coronavirus pandemic and was hosted by Texas A&M's Department of Architecture alongside its AIAS Chapter.
The workshop was led by faculty members from the Columbus-based architectural practice Outpost Office.
It involved students developing algorithms and utilising computational design tools to paint the Architecture Quad on the Texas A&M University campus using a GPS-guided marking robot that is typically used for installing sports fields.
The robot moved across the quad in a performance-based installation, using non-toxic biodegradable paint to transform the field into a labyrinth based on the algorithm developed by the students.
The Department of Architecture at Texas A&M University includes undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, with emphasis on disciplines such as urban development, circular economy, artificial intelligence and robotics.
Texas A&M will be welcoming students to its architecture course in autumn 2024.
