Mark Wahlberg Pushes 4 A.M. Workout Time Even Earlier
Mark Wahlberg has spent decades of his life putting in hard work in front of the camera and on stage as well as in the gym. The Arthur the King star is dedicated to his daily early-morning workouts which traditionally have started at 4 a.m. Now, Wahlberg has pushed back his gym time even earlier.
On July 21, Wahlberg shared a look at his workout in an Instagram post and revealed the new start time for his workouts.
"My week starts on Sunday [at] 2 a.m.," Marky Mark wrote in the caption. "Get a head start." The post and caption feature the Municipal clothing brand co-founded by the beloved actor.
Wahlberg's early-morning workouts are nothing new, but the tweaked schedule is. Back in 2019, the actor told Men's Journal that he eats breakfast at 3:45 a.m. and is in the gym by 4 o'clock. At 5 a.m. he does his prayers, and at 6 o'clock he's out on the golf course.
"Nothing impedes on family time, so I sacrifice my mornings," he said of his routine. "I thrive on the grind."
That doesn't mean he jumps out of bed ready to tackle the day every day, though. In fact, he wrestles with the temptation to sleep in often, telling People in February that he incorporates things like a cold plunge into his routine to prevent caving to the sleepiness.
"I'm like, 'Okay, I'm awake, I'm alive.' We're a go right after that," he said of his pre-gym cold plunge. "So I just go and I do the work."
