The government plans to establish 100 India Post Payments Bank branches in Northeastern states, according to the 2024-25 Union Budget tabled by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Tuesday. Currently, IPPB manages millions of accounts and operates through thousands of branches across the country.
