Southampton Ready To Table Improved Offer For Leeds United Target
Southampton are ready to table an improved offer in their pursuit of Leeds United target Jesurun Rak-Sakyi this summer, according to Sky Sports News.
Palace have been planning to loan out the young midfielder to a club in the Championship following his injury struggles last season.
As many as 15 Championship clubs have registered an interest in him with Leeds and Hull City believed to be among the suitors.
However, Southampton are prepared to give Rak-Sakyi a Premier League option but their initial offer was rejected by Crystal Palace.
But the Saints are not prepared to give up and are ready to put in an improved offer to sign the midfielder.
Southampton are aiming to sign the midfielder on loan with a view to buy from Crystal Palace moving forward.
Crystal Palace would prefer to let him leave on a simple loan rather than lose him to a Premier League rival this summer.
Rak-Sakyi is keen on the Southampton move as it will allow him to stay in the Premier League.
If Crystal Palace insist on not strengthening rivals though and want to loan him to the Championship, it would boost Leeds’ hopes of a deal.
