Huge US drama gives fans first glimpse at highly-anticipated spin-off series – but major star is missing
A MAJOR US drama has been handed a full spin-off series after originally coming to an end in 2019.
Suits, most recognisable for being Meghan Markle‘s biggest acting role before she married Prince Harry, will be returning without the Duchess for the new spin-off, Suits LA.

The show will move to the major broadcaster after originally featuring on the smaller US TV channel, USA Network.
Suits found success on Netflix in the UK as well as recently being picked up by the BBC.
Actor Stephen Amell will head up a brand new cast on the programme playing the role of Ted Black.
It means that fans hoping to catch a glimpse of Meghan in action once again as Rachel Zane will be left bitterly disappointed after she hasn’t been included in the new programme.
Popular child star, famed for her time on Nickelodeon, Victoria Justice will also be featured in the programme.
Fans have already began to buzz with excitement after seeing the first glimpse of Stephen in action as Ted on the show.
Upon hearing the news, one excited fan exclaimed: “OMG!! I needed this so hard, the kind where I didn’t even know I needed it.”
As another penned: “I have no words to express how excited I am to see Stephen Amell star in this series.”
A synopsis for the upcoming Suits LA reads: “[Ted’s] firm is at a crisis point and to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career.
“Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives.”
When the spin-off was first announced, it was reported that TV execs were willing to break the bank to secure Meghan Markle to appear in the programme – even for just one episode.
A senior production source claimed to the Express there have been contract talks between the Duchess’ agent and the studio giant.
“This is shaping up to be one of the biggest TV deals of the year,” they added.
The insider also claimed execs are “prepared to pay what it takes” to secure the actress.
