'Did hell just freeze over?' MAGA celebrates unlikely hero after Trump shooting

MAGA supporters rallied around an unlikely hero after the head of the Secret Service got a grilling before the House Oversight Committee over failures that contributed to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), one of the most progressive members of Congress, was lauded by the right after she put director Kimberly Cheatle on the spot.

AOC asked Cheatle why a perimeter set up after Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania was shorter than the firing range of an AR-15 — and then demanded that the Secret Service head step down.

Newsweek reported she got immediate respect from unlikely quarters.

"I don't agree with you regularly - but you nailed it today. Political violence has no place in this country. Cheatle should resign,” wrote Ryan Fournier, a co-founder of the Students for Trump group, on X.

MAGA support SaltyGoat wrote "Wait... did Hell just freeze over? Am I in agreement with something AOC said? Not sure what's going on here..."

And Trump support Michelle Maxwell, wrote: "I just looked out a window and saw a pig flying. I have to give huge props to AOC for seeing the reality of the situation. I am sure there is an ulterior motive but I will take it!"

AOC was one of multiple members from both parties to ask Cheatle to resign during her appearance Monday.
