Man fatally shot in head steps from his Bronx home: NYPD
CROTONA PARK, the Bronx (PIX11) --- A man was fatally shot in the head steps from his Bronx home early Tuesday, police said.
Authorities found Idriss Cherif-Elfarissy, 28, with a gunshot wound to the head near East 176th Street and Mogehan Avenue in Crotona Park just before 3 a.m., according to the NYPD. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cherif-Elfarissy lived around 100 feet from where he was killed, police said. It was unclear what prompted the shooting.
The gunman was wearing a black hoodie and took off on a bike on East 176th Street toward Southern Boulevard, police said.
There have been no arrests.
