RARE 297 Steakhouse opens in Pittsfield
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) -- A new steakhouse has opened in Pittsfield. RARE 297 Steakhouse had its grand opening on July 23 in the former Berkshire Palate space at 297 North Street.
RARE 297 Steakhouse is owned by cousins Jose and David Reyes. The duo also own RJ's Restaurant at 109 First Street in Pittsfield. RJ's serves seafood, chicken, steak, and pork dishes.
Jose Reyes also owns restaurants in Connecticut and used to own RJ's in Chatham before it sold in April. Both Reyes cousins have over 30 years of experience in the restaurant business.
The RARE 297 menu features different cuts of steak, entrees such as Penne Ala Vodka, Fettuccini Carbonara, and Valencias Seafood Paella, salads and soups, as well as sushi and a raw bar. You can view the full menu on the restaurant's website.
"We wanted to open up a high-end place," said Jose Reyes. "We would love for people to stop by and say hello."
The steakhouse is open Monday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (with the bar staying open until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday), and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. You can make a reservation on the Rare 297 Steakhouse website.
