Indian Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw disclosed that Rs 1,112.57 crore was set aside for installing the ATP system Kavach in 2024-25. So far, Rs 1,216.77 crore has been utilized. Kavach supports train safety through auto-braking and inclement weather navigation, with significant development progress on major corridors. Trials and OEM approvals are ongoing for further implementation.
