India successfully conducted a Phase-II Ballistic Missile Defence System test off the Odisha coast in Balasore. The test validated India's ability to defend against 5,000 km class ballistic missiles. A target missile launched from LC-IV Dhamra simulated an adversary's ballistic missile and was detected by radars on land and sea, activating the AD Interceptor system.
