N&N: Guardians regain game on MIN, KC

The Guardians entered Tuesday’s game on the struggle bus. They hadn’t hit a home run since Bobby Bradley was on the team; they hadn’t driven in a runner from third base since Casey Blake was.

But they accomplished both of these things against the Tigers’ Johnny Everyonebutmaedastaff.

Steve Kwan started things with a solo home run in the 3rd. It was the first of 4 straight innings the Guards scored in! What!??

While Xzavion Curry was keeping the team in the game, Big Christmas continued to mash. Noel homered off a RHP, which seems to be a thing he can do.

The 3rd homer was hit by Jose Ramirez. We know he’s good; AJ Hinch might need to do a little more Finding Out.

Yet again, Cade Smith dominated. He relieved Curry, and retired all 5 Tigers. He picked up the “Win” and is now 3-0 on Tuesdays this season.

Hinch kept pitching to Ramirez, and he provided insurance. But the 5-2 lead wasn’t completely Sandlin-proof, and the game was soon 5-4.

In the 9th, Emmanuel Clase saved the game in the blink of an eye. 60-40 is a nice round record.

The Twins lost. The Royals lost.
