‘Longlegs’ Climbs Onto List of Titles Consumers Are Most Excited About | Chart
What are the entertainment offerings that consumers are most excited about? It’s a question that marketers, distributors, advertisers and media publications are always asking.
ScreenShare, a data partnership between Screen Engine/ASI and TheWrap, tracks the Top 10 most-mentioned entertainment options every week and whether each has gained or lost momentum compared to the prior week. The chart lives on the Data & Analysis page of the WrapPRO Members Hub.
It’s time to head to theaters and fill up those souvenir popcorn buckets because the wait is over. “Deadpool & Wolverine,” remaining No. 1, opens this Friday and has more mentions in the week prior to release than any other movie this year.
The “Paris 2024: Summer Olympic Games” holds its position at No. 2. The parade of athletes for the opening ceremony will look a bit different as they forgo the traditional stadium setting. Instead, the ceremony will introduce the athletes on boats along the Seine River. “Inside Out 2” comes in at No. 3 while “House of the Dragon” continues its streak at No. 4. “Twisters” continues its upward momentum to round out the Top 5 during the week of its release in theaters.
“Despicable Me 4” comes in at No. 6 and “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” moves into the No. 7 position. After the release of its second trailer, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is back, returning at No. 8 ahead of its premiere on Sept. 6. The horror-thriller “Longlegs,” starring Nicolas Cage, joins the list at No. 9 the week after its release in theaters, and “Yellowstone” reappears to round out the Top 10.
